We will greet you in the heart of the city.
In an historical building recently entirely restored. We overlook the lovely, sparkling bay of positano. The Miramare Hotel is at only few steps away from the main central beach and il Fornillo beach.
From Rome airport: Take the “Grande Raccordo Anulare” ring road and follow in direction of the A1 MILANO NAPOLI highway and take the Napoli direction. Carry on driving on the highway for some 200km. (roughly 1h 30 min). Pay attention when passing CASERTA SUD exit (do not leave the highway) as you will have to follow the signs to AUTOSTRADA SALERNO A3 (make sure you don’t use the highway to SALERNO A30 as this will lengthen your trip by one extra hour). Drive towards Napoli. After some 15 km you will pass through the A3 AUTOSTRADA toll booth to Salerno and carry on this motorway in direction of CASTELLAMMARE DI STABIA where will exit. Go straight (don’t turn right). There is a lengthy road to Sorrento then two extended tunnels which will lead to a panoramic road by the sea. Follow signs on your left to Positano – Praiano – Amalfi. Once you reach Positano, follow the town center. Drive approximately 1 km on Positano’s one-way road. You will see on your right our Reserved Parking lots. Once at the Parking lot you will find the Miramare intercom located on the wall. This is your direct line to the hotel. Just call us and we will send our Porter up to the lot to collect your luggage and show you to the lane of steps which will take you to the Hotel Miramare.

Public transportation is usually reliable, however, during peak holiday season buses can be very crowded and there is no guarantee that you will find a seat. I would like to suggest a reliable alternative to public conveyance, book a taxi with us. It will result in a simple, stress free trip. It will also eliminate the issue of late arrival by plane or train. In the event of a delay or a missed connection we will contact the car company and arrange a deferred pick up as long as you make us aware of the delay. Our trusted drivers know the location of the Miramare and will always take the most expedient, direct route to your destination.
Positano is also reachable by boat, from Sorrento and Salerno harbors.
From the boat you will be able to see the enchanting amalfi coast
Please call the hotel for porter service information.
